You have been evaluated in the Olive View-UCLA Emergency Department today for a body fluid exposure. We have discussed the risks and benefits of HIV prophylaxis and you have chosen to not undergo prophylaxis at this time.
Please follow up with Occupational Health tomorrow or the next weekday (8am-4pm Monday through Friday). You can go to occupational health tomorrow.
Return to the Emergency Department if you experience fevers, vomiting, chest pain, shortness of breath, discharge from the needle stick, redness around the needle stick, or any other concerning symptoms.
